Zonal Team $TBD (base price is $650 - price depends on tournaments attended)
A Zonal Team will compete in tournaments within the region, as well as tournaments out of the region (state).

Q. When do we start?
A. Placements for all girls will be held on different days at local schools. Please arrive at least 30 minutes early to turn in paperwork, receive a number and warm up.

The various coaches and club administrators will select teams. No effort is promised to put friends or carpoolers on the same teams. There is a $50 tryout payment. You must be registered with the Carolina Region [click here] (can do a one day pass until placements and then upgrade) and have the Medical Form.
Q. When is payment due?
A. The first half of your payment is due prior to the first practice and final payment is due by December 1st. You must pay in full to continue practice/play. The uniform payment must be paid by the date provided in order to receive jerseys on time for the first tournament.
Q. What is a Regional Team?
A. Regional Teams will compete in tournaments within the region. For playing time, please understand we are playing against largely competitive clubs where tryouts and high fees allow for elite athleticism. Our teams have really improved and enjoyed playing against strong competition “off the mountain”. Each player on a regional team is guaranteed to play in one set of each match in pool play in their position. Playoff play is not guaranteed, and again is up to individual coaches.
Q. What is a Zonal Team?
A. Zonal teams are formed for players who may want to continue playing volleyball in college. This is a recruitment opportunity. A Zonal Team will compete in tournaments within the region, as well as tournaments out of the region (state). Playing time for the zonal teams will not be guaranteed and is up to the discretion of the coach.
Q. What is a National Team?
A. National teams are formed for players who seriously want to continue playing volleyball in college. This is a recruitment opportunity. A National Team will compete in tournaments within the region, as well as power league and elite tournaments, and tournaments out of the region, out of the state. Although playing time for the national teams may not be guaranteed and is up to the discretion of the coach, this is an elite level of competition.
Q. When do we play?
A. Our season typically runs from November until the beginning of April. Practices begin in November, while tournaments begin the beginning of January. Tournaments are usually every other weekend. Teams who qualify for Nationals will play until the beginning of July.
Q. Where do we practice?
A. Teams practice an average of twice a week. Teams typically practice at various Elementary schools within Watauga County. Practices are mandatory.
Q. Who are the Coaches?
A. Our coaches are IMPACT certified with USA Volleyball (USAV) and undergo background screening with CRVB every two years. Many are volunteering their time, energy, and expertise to our community. They include former and current college players, high school and middle school coaches, and advisory assistance from several local D-1 and D-2 college coaches.
